Creative Services Director

Esther has been behind some of the most successful creative departments in Asia, bringing structure, discipline and in later roles, transformation in a rapidly evolving industry.

Among the highlights of a career spanning 30 years is the setting up of a Regional Creative Services department for Ogilvy Hong Kong, in a time when brands like Ponds and Dove were being consolidated across North and South Asia–with no prior model to reference–under a Regional Unilever hub.

She was eventually tempted to return to Singapore to replicate that success–this time for Lowe + Partners, and for the newly minted global consolidation of Unilever’s Dirt is Good (Omo/Persil/Breeze) business. Here, she pioneered the monetisation of in-house services like illustration and studio-supported production, introducing a new revenue stream for the agency. After a short break to help set up yet another creative support system from ground-up, this time for Gyro (Dentsu), Esther returned to MullenLowe as part of the management team. Working as a tight unit with ECDs Daniel Kee and Sheng Jin, Esther has been monumental in supporting the agency’s realisation of its ambition to consistently be Agency of the Year in Singapore, year after year.
